Agriculture Education Foundation Scholarship Requirements
Who: Any student who meets the minimum qualifications and is enrolled or planning to enroll in an agriculture teaching major or 4-H extension major at any of Ohio’s three Universities offering these programs or another two year or four year school in Ohio offering a two plus two program or another pathway to become an agriculture teacher or extension educator.
Minimum Academic Requirements: Scholarship recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 collegiate GPA. Incoming freshmen must have a 2.75 cumulative high school GPA to qualify for the scholarship. Minimum GPA may be waived for up to one academic year when a qualifying student demonstrates all other qualifications. (Alternative pathway scholarship to be exempt)
Community Requirements: Scholarship recipients must be able to show a commitment to community and assisting younger children in their community. They must have experience in some form of a community service focused organization. Preference will be given to those whom have showed measurable attainment in their community activities.
Application: The application will consist of two total prompts. The first prompt will ask for answers in 150 words or less and an extended response of 400 words or less.

The Agriculture Education Foundation will issue the scholarships to a student attending any institution in Ohio for these expressed purposes. Please note that preference will be given to students attending Central State University or a 2 plus 2 program associated with Central State University. All potential agriculture teachers or 4-H educators are encouraged to apply regardless of the institution.

- Resume
- Three Letters of Recommendation (One from the adult leader of a community organization, one from an educator and one additional)
- Transcript
- Proof of enrollment or acceptance to an agriculture educator program or 4-H extension program.

- 3 Renewal $1,000 scholarships
- 1 $1000 scholarship for any eligible student attending a qualified Ohio institution
